8/30/2008  Late Model Dirt Series Offers Live Internet Broadcast from Portsmouth Raceway Park!
For the 18th time this season, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will be hosting a live race broadcast as fans unable to attend this Saturday, August 30th's $10,000 to win Glockner River Days Rumble from Portsmouth Raceway Park can catch the action on www.RaceTalkLive.com at 7pm eastern, 6pm central.

Last year, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series made their first ever visit to the 3/8-mile facility located in Portsmouth, OH and it would be Steve Francis getting the win.   This year's event looks to be even bigger with a strong contingent of drivers that include Lucas Oil regulars such as Earl Pearson Jr., Freddy Smith, Bart Hartman, and Dan Schlieper as well as regional standouts like Eddie Carrier Jr., Josh McGuire, and The Conley Family.

"The Labor Day weekend show is always one of our biggest shows of the year," said Portsmouth Raceway Park announcer Chuck Greenslate on Tuesday's Lucas Oil Motorsports Hour.   "Our track has been racey all year long, and I just can't wait for this race!"

8/26/2008  Tuesday's Lucas Oil Motorsports Hour Previews Portsmouth and Tyler County
CORONA, CA (August 26, 2008) - Two big races in the Mid-Ohio Valley area will be previewed on Tuesday's Lucas Oil Motorsports Hour as the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series prepares for their visits to Portsmouth Raceway Park and Tyler County Speedway.   The show airs at 8pm eastern/7pm central on www.RaceTalkLive.com and Tuesday's guests will include drivers Eddie Carrier Jr. and Doug Horton as well as announcer Steve Davis.

Defending Hillbilly 100 Champion Eddie Carrier Jr. will make his second appearance on the program.   The popular second generation driver hails from Salt Rock, WV and pilots the Carl Grover Motorsports #28.   Known as "The Salt Rock Express", Carrier has eight feature wins in 2008, one of which was a Lucas Oil sanctioned race at K-C Raceway.   In addition, Carrier has two big wins at Portsmouth Raceway Park this season, as he looks to defend his Hillbilly 100 title at Tyler County Speedway's $40,000 to win crown jewel this Sunday.

One local favorite looking to turn away Carrier's challenges is Bruceton Mills, WV's Doug Horton.   Horton, who finished third in Hillbilly 100 last year, most recently finished second in Tyler County's prestigious Earl Hill Memorial three weeks ago.   Also, earlier in the season, Horton claimed the $1,000 bounty money BDS Promotions placed on Paul Wilmoth Jr. who had captured the first five Late Model wins of the season at "The Bullring".   Horton ran second throughout most of last year's Hillbilly 100 before blowing a tire on the final lap and being passed by 21st-starting Scott James.    Even so, the former Topless 50 winner limped across the line for a solid third place finish.

Also joining the broadcast will be noted announcer Steve Davis.   The veteran voice of the 1/4-mile Tyler County fairgrounds track, Davis will reunite with Lucas Oil Motorsports Hour host Dustin Jarrett, as the duo spent several years calling races together at Tyler County Speedway among other Mid-Ohio Valley tracks.

Hosted by Dustin "DJ" Jarrett, the Lucas Oil Motorsports Hour airs LIVE every Tuesday of race-week at 8:00pm eastern/7:00pm central on www.RaceTalkLive.com.   Fans are encouraged to instant message their questions to DJ via the AOL Instant Messenger screen name "LucasDirtDJ".   Emails are also welcome at djarrett@lucasdirt.com.

8/23/2008  Live Internet Broadcast Tonight for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Event at Bluegrass!
Always one of the best races of the season, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event at Bluegrass Speedway known as the "8th Annual Bluegrass Classic" has been won by Scott Bloomquist the last three years.   Once again, this race will be taped by the cameras of SPEED to be rebroadcast at a later night.

"I don't know what it is, but this race is always a good one," said Brad Neat on Tuesday night's Lucas Oil Motorsports Hour.   "Guys can run practically anywhere they want to and that's what makes it so interesting."   Neat finished second to Bloomquist in this event one year ago.

8/22/2008  Live Internet Broadcast for Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Event at Lawrenceburg This Friday
August 22nd, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will make their first ever trip to the Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, IN.   For the fans who can't make the trip to the newly renovated 3/8-mile oval, the race will be broadcast live at 7pm eastern/6pm central on www.RaceTalkLive.com.

Located at the Dearborn County (IN) Fairgrounds, Lawrenceburg Speedway just completed a multi-million project expanding the track from a 1/4-mile to a 3/8-mile high-banked clay oval with a new outside wall and catch fence in addition to more seating outside of turn two.   This Friday's event will mark the first ever visit for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series to "The Burg" as well as the first ever internet broadcast hosted by the track.

"We are really excited about the race this Friday," said promoter Dave Rudisell on Tuesday's Lucas Oil Motorsports Hour.   "I hope the fans come on out and support this race and see why we think this is one of the best facilities in the entire country.   Of course, if they can't be here, then we want to listen to the broadcast," Rudisell said Tuesday night.

Hosted by Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Internet Broadcast Coordinator Dustin "DJ" Jarrett, the live audio broadcast at Lawrenceburg will begin at 7pm eastern/6pm central on www.RaceTalkLive.com with PRC Time Trials followed by Heat Races, B-Mains and the $7,000 to win main event.   As always, the broadcasts are FREE for all listeners, who are reminded to have the latest edition of Windows Media Player installed on their computer to hear the action.

For further information on Lawrenceburg Speedway you can go to www.lawrenceburgspeedway.com or call the track office at (812) 539-4700.   Lawrenceburg Speedway is located one mile east of Lawrenceburg, IN on Highway 50 at the Dearborn County Fairgrounds.

Current Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series points leader Earl Pearson Jr. will make his second visit to the show.   When the summer heats up, so does Pearson as the three time and defending LOLMDS Champion has only finished outside the top ten once in the last seven weeks.   The 2006 World 100 winner is shooting for his fifth consecutive national title and will discuss that as well as other hot topics on this evening's program.

Dunnville, KY's Brad Neat will join the show to talk about his season to date as well as look ahead to this weekend's races at Lawrenceburg and Bluegrass.   Neat, a former Bluegrass Speedway track champion, finished second in last year's Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned "Bluegrass Classic" at Bardstown, KY's Bluegrass Speedway.   In addition, Neat has also made the last two World 100's, has now made the last two Topless 100's, and picked up a UMP SummerNationals win at Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway earlier this year.

CORONA, CA (June 9, 2008) - Defending North/South 100 and World 100 Champion Jimmy Owens, Hall of Famer Freddy Smith, and Tennessee hotshoe Jay Brinkley will be among the special guests on this Tuesday's Lucas Oil Motorsports Hour.   Also appearing with the trio of Volunteer State drivers will be North Georgia Speedway's Monty Morrow and the Talladega Short Track's Dennis Anton.

Leading off the program will be defending North/South 100 and World 100 Champion Jimmy Owens.   Owens won the most recent Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event at Florence Speedway and is coming off a top five finish at The Dream.   In addition, Owens won last year's Lucas Oil sanctioned races at North Georgia and Talladega.

Jay Brinkley, driver of the Brinkley Farms/Tucker's Mobile Homes #01 will also join the broadcast.   Being a native of Shelbyville, TN, the veteran Brinkley knows his way around Duck River Speedway better than anyone.   Currently, Brinkley sits 3rd in the SRRS Series points standings and he is coming off two straight top six finishes at Duck River.

Also on the show will be Hall of Famer Freddy Smith.   The holder of 782 career feature wins, Smith recently started on the pole of the Show-Me 100 and rattled off an impressive 8th place finish against a stout field of cars.   Smith is currently sitting in 10th in the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Point Standings, the same position he finished in the final points tally last season.

In addition to the trio of Volunteer State drivers, North Georgia Speedway's Monty Morrow and the Talladega Short Track's Dennis Anton will both appear to talk about their respective Lucas Oil races this weekend.
