$10,000 to win
Glockner River Days

Last year, the Lucas

Portsmouth, OH and
it would be Steve
Francis getting the
win. This year's
event looks to be

drivers that include
Lucas Oil regulars
such as Earl Pearson
Jr., Freddy Smith,
Bart Hartman, and
Dan Schlieper as
well as regional
standouts like Eddie
Carrier Jr., Josh
McGuire, and The
Conley Family.
"The Labor Day

always one of our
biggest shows of the
year," said

Tuesday's Lucas Oil
Motorsports Hour
Previews Portsmouth
and Tyler County
CORONA, CA (August
26, 2008) - Two big
races in the
Mid-Ohio Valley area
will be previewed on
Tuesday's Lucas Oil
Motorsports Hour as
the Lucas Oil Late
Model Dirt Series
prepares for their
visits to Portsmouth
Raceway Park and
Tyler County
Speedway. The show
airs at 8pm
eastern/7pm central
on
www.RaceTalkLive.com
and Tuesday's guests
will include drivers
Eddie Carrier Jr.
and Doug Horton as
well as announcer
Steve Davis.
Defending Hillbilly
100 Champion Eddie
Carrier Jr. will
make his second
appearance on the
program. The
popular second
generation driver
hails from Salt
Rock, WV and pilots
the Carl Grover
Motorsports
#28. Known as "The
Salt Rock Express",
Carrier has eight
feature wins in
2008, one of which
was a Lucas Oil
sanctioned race at
K-C Raceway. In
addition, Carrier
has two big wins at
Portsmouth Raceway
Park this season, as
he looks to defend
his Hillbilly 100
title at Tyler
County Speedway's
$40,000 to win crown
jewel this Sunday.
One local favorite
looking to turn away
Carrier's challenges
is Bruceton Mills,
WV's Doug
Horton. Horton,
who finished third
in Hillbilly 100
last year, most
recently finished
second in Tyler
County's prestigious
Earl Hill Memorial
three weeks
ago. Also, earlier
in the season,
Horton claimed the
$1,000 bounty money
BDS Promotions
placed on Paul
Wilmoth Jr. who had
captured the first
five Late Model wins
of the season at
"The
Bullring". Horton
ran second
throughout most of
last year's
Hillbilly 100 before
blowing a tire on
the final lap and
being passed by
21st-starting Scott
James. Even so,
the former Topless
50 winner limped
across the line for
a solid third place
finish.
Also joining the
broadcast will be
noted announcer
Steve Davis. The
veteran voice of the
1/4-mile Tyler
County fairgrounds
track, Davis will
reunite with Lucas
